Savtira hires 65 in Ybor City

An e-commerce company will open its doors in Ybor City on Jan. 4.

YBOR CITY — Savtira Corp. will open a new office at an 8,000-square foot facility in Ybor City. The company will provide online business platforms for publishers, software developers, retailers, and other companies.

In moving to its new location, Savtira will hire 65 employees to staff its facility. Some of those employees will work from Sarasota as well, a release said. The new employees will work in marketing, sales, and development.

“Tampa offers a great business climate for a digital e-commerce company," said Savtira CEO Timothy Roberts.

Savtira Corp. began doing business in 2010 after working for eight years on web platform development. Members of its management team have worked for or with companies like MTV, AT&T, Comedy Central, and Sony in the past.
