Redstone buys Summit Advisors

The transaction expands an Ohio-based real estate firm's Tampa operations.

Redstone Investments, a commercial real estate firm headquartered in Youngstown, Ohio, purchased Tampa-based Summit Advisors Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

Redstone Asset Management Services LLC now owns and/or manages more than 4.5 million square feet of real estate across 12 states, a company release said.

Redstone will retain the services of former Summit president Patrick McGuire following the transaction. McGuire will join Redstone Asset Management Services as senior vice president.

Redstone Investments has been in business since 1991. The company's Tampa office opened in late 2005.
