Dorothy Blasingim has been instrumental to the services provided across 15 Regions bank locations.
From manager to executive, Dorothy Blasingim is ready to use her promotion at Regions Bank to support community engagement.
After 18 years with Regions Bank, the former consumer banking manager was promoted to market executive for Sarasota, Bradenton and the surrounding communities. During her time with the bank, Blasingim has provided guidance and insight to shape the services provided at 15 locations in Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte counties, according to a statement.
As a new market executive, she will lead the bank’s Regions360 approach toward providing customized financial services across the company’s divisions. Blasingim also will work with the Regions Community Affairs division to implement community engagement activities throughout the area, the release states.
“Much of Regions’ success in Southwest Florida can be attributed to Dorothy Blasingim and her passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience, and we are proud to expand her territory and leadership role to serve as market executive along the Suncoast,” says John Turner, president and CEO of Regions Financial Corp, in a release. “The Suncoast is a thriving, vibrant region with more people and businesses discovering what makes it a tremendous place to live and work. Dorothy is the right leader to help Regions build on our investments in Florida by reaching new customers as they come into the community – and building deeper relationships with the people and businesses we already serve.”
As market executive, Blasingim has been holding listening events to gain perspective from colleagues on anything from business opportunities to volunteer efforts.
“What I’ve learned during our listening events just reinforces to me how proud I am to be a part of the Regions team because of the things we do and how we participate in the community,” she says in the statement. “In my new role, I want to ensure our local community engagement has the full force of Regions’ support behind it. Our plan is to continually find ways to get more associates engaged in our community. There are so many things that we do already; I’m looking forward to seeing that grow.”
